I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
